Final rinse flushes loosened debris to the curb. We blow standing water off the surface so it's dry enough to use within an hour in typical Texas weather.

Standard residential driveway. Our most common job. Surface cleaner gets between the texture ridges for a deep clean without re-texturing.
Pattern-imprinted overlay (often called "stampcrete"). Lower pressure, wider fan tip. Wrong pressure mars the pattern — we've cleaned hundreds of these.
Interlocking brick, travertine, granite setts. We clean between the joints with a lower-pressure fan and re-sand after if requested.
River rock / pebble finish — we treat this differently than smooth concrete. No rotary cleaner. Hand wand with wide fan for the first pass.

Unlikely — unless it's exposed aggregate or stamped overlay, and someone uses a rotary cleaner at the wrong pressure. We adjust for surface type. Exposed aggregate gets a wide-fan hand wand, not the surface cleaner. Stamped concrete gets 1,500–2,000 PSI instead of 3,000. We've been doing this for years and have never caused damage on a standard broom-finish slab.
Pressure washing (a single jet wand) leaves track lines and uneven cleaning — you can see exactly where the wand passed. Surface cleaning uses a rotary spinner that covers 20 inches at a time with an even spray pattern. That's why driveways cleaned with a wand often have streaks. We use a surface cleaner on all standard concrete.
In typical DFW weather (60%+ humidity, above 55°F), the surface is dry enough to walk on within 30 minutes and drive on within 1–2 hours. In high heat or direct sun, it's faster. We won't leave standing water — we blow it off toward the street.
We don't offer sealing as part of our standard service, but we can coordinate it. Sealing is worth doing 30–60 days after cleaning, once the concrete is fully dry and any residual efflorescence has come to the surface and been cleared. If you want a quote for sealing, mention it when you book — we'll bring the info.
Once a year is enough for most DFW homes. If you have heavy tree cover (oaks dropping pollen and leaves), a shaded north-facing driveway, or park trucks in the driveway regularly, twice a year keeps it looking fresh. Most customers do it in early spring before pollen season hits, or late fall after leaf season.
The surface cleaning removes surface oil, but set-in stains (three months or older) require a degreasing treatment — that's not optional, it's how the stain comes out.
